As a naturopath, I went on search for a natural skin care solution to soothe and repair my daughter’s chronic dry skin. As a family, we made adjustments to our diet and lifestyle, including avoiding known allergens and irritants. Doctors recommended the use of steroid creams, which did improve her condition, but I was unhappy about using them, knowing the long term side effects. The alternatives weren’t much better, many containing petrochemicals and synthetic preservatives. Before long I found myself with a cupboard full of lotions and potions that were ok, but not quite good enough. I understand that there is no ‘cure’ for eczema and similar skin conditions, but I felt there must be something I could do to support and comfort my daughter’s skin, whilst also restoring its appearance. While holidaying in New Zealand in 2009, I was introduced to XMAEASE, a natural moisturising cream being produced by a like-minded mum in Dunedin. I was so impressed that I went back to N.Z. in 2010 to meet Michelle Facer-Wood, and together we are very excited to introduce “mum’s secret”. As a busy mum, my skincare routine is simple, and I wanted a product that could be used by the whole family, from top to toe. It needed to be multipurpose and suitable for all their various skin types and troubles. Soothe & Repair ticks all the boxes for me! It is a multipurpose non-greasy moisturising cream that I truly believe will be treasured for generations to come. I believe that Mums intuitively want to soothe, support and nurture their loved ones, so we want to make the natural choice for looking after your family’s skin an easy one. |
